My primary breed is poodles though my father was a hunter and we had Labrador Retrievers, a Harrier and our share of pound puppies. I showed American Quarter Horses for over 30 years and was a top money earning amateur western pleasure rider as well as successfully showing halter, trail, reining horses and showmanship.

I have served as president of the Mission Trail Poodle Club for over 12 years, president and vice president of the Northern California Greyhound Club and am a member of the Greyhound Club of America. I’ve bred, shown and owned numerous champions, group winners and SBIS winners in poodles and have shown other breeds (including greyhounds and dachshunds) to group wins and SBIS.

Currently, I am approved to judge 15 non-sporting breeds, Ibizan Hounds, Greyhounds, MinPins and Junior Showmanship. I judged an entry of almost 100 4-6 month puppies in Palm Springs 2019 and had the honor of judging the 4-6 month puppy and veteran classes at the Poodle Club of America National Specialty in 2017. I am thoroughly enjoying the learning process and look forward to adding additional breeds in the future.

On a personal note, when not involved in dog activities, I spend time at our family vineyard and make award winning wine and port as a home winemaker. I’m also an avid hiker.

Thank you to the Bichon Frise Club of San Diego for the opportunity to judge your sweepstakes.

My Great Grandmother and Grandmother bred American Eskimos, only at that time they called them Spitzies. My mother bred Pomeranians and she would have me in the show ring when I was as young as 8 years old. I credit my mom with this hobby and great love for animals that has lasted a lifetime. Thanks Mom!

It is hard to say how long I have been breeding dogs because I assisted my mom and bred litters as far back as I can remember. I have always had the strongest love for the Spitz type. However, I have handled and assisted numerous professional handlers with many breeds and put titles on many Champions as well as Grand Champions.

Personally, I have also bred Keeshonds, American Pit Bull Terriers and American Eskimos, producing many Champion and Grand Champions. My Kennel, Starlight American Eskimos, has produced many Champions and Grand Champions in AKC, UKC, FCI, States Kennel Club, and RBKC.  I have produced some great Agility dogs earning MACH 6, ADCH, and I have bred obedience dogs as well. I have earned BIS, BISS, Hall of Fame, AOM, and ROM awards.

As a dog show judge, I acquired my UKC license over 20 years ago and I also have judging licenses for ARBA, ASCA, ABKC, and ATTS, temperament testing, and 4-H. I have been judging AKC Sweepstakes and many AKC fun matches. I am actively working on my AKC license. I have exhibited with ADBA as well.

Currently I own, exhibit, and breed Pomeranians with Champions and Grand Champion titles; intending to produce quality Pomeranians.

I am actively involved in a number of dog clubs, including the American Pit Bull Terrier Club of Southern California, United Kennel Club since 1980, National American Pit Bull Terrier Association, Founding Member of the American Eskimo Club of America, AKC since 1992, Silver Bay Kennel Club San Diego, Pomeranian Club of America, City of Angels Pomeranian Club, Pomeranian Club of San Diego, Temecula Kennel Club

I have a wonderful husband and two daughters who support my passion for dogs.
